Introducing... Drupal !

What is Drupal, anyway?

Drupal is a great content management system (CMS) that allows you to add content to your own website with minimal fuss and bother.

Our clients love this new level of accessibility and it's a real win-win situation for all. This open-source software is constantly being improved by the best minds in software development.

If you are interested in being able to edit the content (photos and text) on your website, contact us!  With Drupal we can give you direct access to your website.

Profile of a Chameleon...

Meet Sean, our Web Developer

Sean is a long-time Vancouver Island resident with an extensive background in Internet related web development since 1994.

"After a career as an independant web developer I joined Chameleon Creative because it offered the unique opportunity to work with the North Island's largest team of talented web and graphic designers."

Sean spends his free time outdoors (when he can get away from the computer) on some mode of two wheeled transportation with family in tow.

Content is King!

If you want good search engine rankings, write good text.

Could it really be that simple? Almost! Writing content for a web site is like walking a tightrope - you need to inform and entice your customers while wooing the search engines.

Here's some of what Google says in their Design & Content Guidelines:

  • Create a useful, information-rich site, and write pages that clearly and accurately describe your content.
  • Think about the words users would type to find your pages, and make sure that your site actually includes those words within it.
  • Try to use text instead of images to display important names, content, or links. The Google crawler doesn't recognize text contained in images. If you must use images for textual content, consider using the "ALT" attribute to include a few words of descriptive text.

Every website we build is “Google friendly” from a design and technical standpoint. Does your written content receive the same careful consideration?

Protect your search engine rankings, work with our SEO (Search Engine Optimization) team to make sure your written content and text layout is helping, not hurting, your search engine rankings.

CMS note: Having a Drupal-managed website is great because you can update and add content yourself, but keep in mind that the content you add will affect your search engine rankings.

Inspired by the unique beauty of the Craftsman style, we chose a font reminiscent of that period. We used rich, warm wood tones, textures and detail reminiscent of the era and carried the elements throughout the business card, rack card and website to create a cohesive brand for Saratoga Sash and Door.
