What is an RSS feed? Really Simple Syndication is a simple method of providing content in a format that can be viewed in browsers using RSS "news readers", and aggregated by other websites which "pull in" your data.
Many web users today subscribe to news services, thus simplifying their search for content - providing an RSS feed can make your news more desirable and viewed more often. Additionally, RSS readers are available for modern cell-phones, making it much easier for mobile users to access the "lighter" RSS content without having to load full web-pages from your site.
